About the Role
Ensley, Inc. is currently seeking a CDL driver who possesses the skills to proficiently hook up and load 20 ft, 40 ft, and 45 ft containers and transport them to either the storage yard or deliver to customers. The ideal candidate must adhere to all DOT regulations and legal guidelines while performing all duties. In addition, the driver will also be responsible for loading various pieces of asphalt construction equipment and transporting them to different job sites under the direction of the supervisor.
The driver must be committed to maintaining the truck and equipment in top-notch condition, possess a clean driving record, and have the ability to troubleshoot when equipment malfunctions.
Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
Determining the details of each delivery.
Collecting and loading containers/equipment in a manner that prevents damage
Ensuring the truck(s) has sufficient fuel at all times
Informing clients and managers of potential delays
Delivering container/equipment to clients on or before each deadline
Completing, storing and submitting all necessary documentation
Keeping track of all reasonable expenses and submitting proof thereof
Reporting all vehicle-related issues to for urgent attention
Conducts preventive maintenance checks on equipment (oil, fluids, etc.)
All other duties assigned
Complete daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR)
Report any mechanical problems to the supervisor immediately
Education/Training Requirements:
Experience operating similar vehicles for work purposes
Comfortable using a GPS system
Ensuring that you are always fit to maneuver the truck
Compliance with all road and transport rules
Ability to drive safely, irrespective of the weather of time of day
Top- notch time management, interpersonal, and administrative skills
Certification/License Requirements:
CDL Class A
Valid and clean Florida Drivers License

Ability to hook up a container to truck to be loaded
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in hot weather conditions
Ability to drive over 2 hours one way for a pickup/delivery
Ability to operator winch and maneuver flatbed trailers
Ability to strap and secures various sizes of containers that meet DOT regulations
Ability to work independently
